01 · Primed canvas

Two widths.
Your choice of format.

100% cotton, 280 g/m², with a medium grain. Both rolls have two coats of white acrylic gesso and are suitable for oil and acrylic paints.

Which width is right for you? Allow for the stretcher depth and the extra canvas needed for fastening, as well as the painted area. Both widths have the same fabric, priming and roll length.

02 · Raw canvas

Your surface.
From the start.

With unprimed cotton canvas, you decide how to prepare your painting surface. Choose the primer and paint layers to suit your work.

Same dimensions, different fabric weights. Both raw canvases come as a folded bale measuring approx. 1.60 × 18 m. The 8 oz and 12 oz figures indicate the respective fabric weights.

03 · PANART Canvas Pads

Real canvas.
Sheet by sheet.

Each pad contains 10 sheets of 100% cotton canvas, 380 g/m², with a fine texture. Triple primed with white gesso for oil and acrylic paints. Choose from four sizes.

04 · Offcuts from our production

Small pieces.
Plenty of room to experiment.

Cutting canvas in our ongoing production creates offcuts. We bundle these pieces of different sizes for experimenting, colour tests and small works.

Approximate dimensions of individual pieces

20–50 cm wide
× 20–100 cm long

Sizes and the mix of pieces vary. These are production offcuts, not a continuous length, and specific sizes cannot be selected.

Good to know

Your material.
Well chosen.

The main differences between rolls, raw canvas, Canvas Pads and offcuts.

What is the difference between raw and primed canvas?

The primed rolls already have two coats of white acrylic gesso and are suitable for oil and acrylic paints. Raw canvas is unprimed. You prepare the surface yourself to suit your paints and technique. Follow the application instructions for the primer and paints you use.

Is the canvas already stretched on a frame?

No. The canvas comes loose as a roll, a folded bale, sheets in a pad or individual production offcuts. To make a stretched canvas, cut the fabric to size and fasten it to your stretcher frame. Allow enough extra material for the frame depth and fastening in addition to the painted area.

Are Canvas Pads made of paper or real fabric?

PANART Canvas Pads contain real canvas fabric made from 100% cotton, 380 g/m². Each pad has 10 finely textured sheets with three coats of white gesso. The surface is suitable for oil and acrylic paints.

What is the difference between the 1.83 m and 2.10 m rolls?

The width. Both rolls are approx. 18 m long and made from 100% cotton, 280 g/m², with a medium grain and two coats of acrylic gesso. Choose the width to fit your planned cuts, including the extra canvas needed for stretching.

Can I choose specific sizes of production offcuts?

The canvas offcuts come from our ongoing production and are supplied in varying assortments. The pieces are approx. 20–50 cm wide and 20–100 cm long. These dimensions are approximate; specific formats cannot be selected.

Do all production offcuts have the same priming?

The offcuts are mostly white primed cotton canvas, 425 g/m². The mix of materials and piece sizes depends on the offcuts from our ongoing production. Check each piece before use and test your paint layers on a small area.
