Cut, stretch and prepare your canvas

Cut the fabric to suit your own painting sizes. If you plan to stretch it over a frame, allow for the frame depth as well as enough extra fabric to wrap around and fasten at the back.

The cotton has not been primed. Choose a preparation suited to your painting technique and follow the instructions for your primer and paints. Try your planned surface preparation on an offcut first.
