Claes Oldenburg makes everyday things slip: an ice-cream cone grows enormous, a cloth light switch loses its function, a pistol becomes oversized. Such displacements challenge conventional artistic taste with bite and absurd contrasts. At Kunsthaus Zürich the show is the first posthumous retrospective in Europe, organised with Moderna Museet in Stockholm. In the city of Dada, Oldenburg's neo-Dada approach feels consistent, inviting visitors to rethink consumption and the value of ordinary objects.
