Studio canvas frames are 2 cm deep, making them light and easy to handle. Gallery canvas frames are 4 cm deep and have a much more prominent side edge. The 50 × 19 mm profile is used exclusively for 2 cm custom-made frames; these studio stock sizes use a 35 × 20 mm profile.
